Woodshop 1

Ages *13+ | $55 per person

Every 2nd Sunday of the month | 1–4 p.m.

Get to know the fundamentals of woodworking and learn how to safely operate the core woodshop tools. Get concrete, hands-on experience with using a drill press, band saw, belt and disk sanders to build a small wooden shelf. Learn to make mitered cuts, curved cuts, smooth edges, and drill holes.

*Guardian and participants ages 13–17 must take Intro to woodworking workshop with minor and both must register for their own seat. Safety glasses, short sleeves, and closed-toed shoes are required. Hearing protection and dust mask advised. Located in CREATE at Arizona Science Center®, adjacent to the main building.
