Stranded!
Students learn how and why the human body gets energy from food. Students identify the four
different macromolecules (carbohydrates – simple and complex, lipids, and proteins) needed by
cells in order to function. Students understand how water and vitamins are important to the
human body. Students identify what kinds of foods offer the most nutrition and identify which
foods contain carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins.
